Outro dia, quando nós estávamos em um restaurante, a Daphne sem menos esperar pegou uma batata frita e começou a comer e fazia umas expressões engraçadas, e lógico que tive que filmar.. hehehe

Another day, when we were in a restaurant, without expecting it Daphne grabbed a french fry and started eating it and making some funny faces, and of course I had to record it.. hehehe

Thanksgiving!

Nós tivemos um ótimo dia de ação de graças, fomos visitar o Brian em Mesa, AZ.. o clima estava perfeito, o jantar foi delicioso e nos divertimos muito juntos.

We had a great Thanksgiving, we visited Brian in Mesa, AZ.. the weather was perfect, the dinner was delicious and we had a lot of fun together.

Essa foi a primeira vez da Daphne em uma cadeira no restaurante, ela estava tão feliz, aqui é ela dançando.

This was the Daphne's first time on a restaurant's high chair, she was so happy, here's she dancing.

Fall

6 month check-up

Hoje ela teve a consulta de 6 meses e mais uma vez tomou vacinas, mas dessa vez não chorou tanto quanto as outras vezes.
As medidas dela são:
Altura: 69.8 cm
Peso: 9.6 kg

Today she had her 6 month check-up and once again took some shots,  but this time she didn't cry as much as the other times.
Her measurements are:
Length: 27.5 in (93.23%)
Weight: 21.03 lbs (98.88%)

Agosto/Setembro...

Muitas coisas aconteceram nesses últimos meses...

1- Nos mudamos para um novo lugar, mas continuamos morando em Provo, estamos amando e esperamos ficar aqui por algum tempo ainda, até porque mudança é muito chato, tem caixa para todos os lados e parece que nunca vamos terminar de organizar tudo.. hahahaha

2- Dia 30 de agosto foi nosso aniversário de casamento, completamos 2 anos.. nossa, parece que passou tão rápido, mas ao mesmo tempo parece que estamos casados há bem mais tempo. Minha família é o que tenho de mais especial em minha vida e sou muito grata pelo maravilhoso esposo que tenho.

3- Medidas da Daphne na consulta de 4 meses:
Altura: 69.2 cm
Peso: 8.5 kg
Ela está tão grande.. e cada dia mais linda e esperta.

Agora ela está comendo sólidos, o primeiro dia foi engraçado, pois ela estava comendo como se fosse a melhor comida do mundo.. no segundo dia ela nem quis olhar, mas agora ela voltou a comer novamente.

4- Viajamos para o Arizona mais uma vez e foi super legal. Nós finalmente conhecemos Daniele e Matthew Johnson, Lessia, Brian e Alex Smith e nos divertimos muito na casa da Dani.
Nós nos divertimos com o Brian (irmão do Andrew).. e mais uma vez comemos o "bigzilla" que é o maior burrito que já vi e lógico que eu e Andrew tivemos que dividir um, pois era bem grande.

5- Dia 11 de setembro foi o aniversário do Andrew e foi tão bom. Nós passamos o dia juntos e comemoramos; e ainda fomos no Festival Brasileiro de Utah e ficamos lá por um tempinho.


August/September...

A lot things happened in the last months...

1- We moved to a new place, but we still live in Provo. We are loving it, and we hope to be here for some time, also because moving is very annoying, there are boxes everywhere and it looks like we'll never finish organizing everything.. hahahaha

2- August 30th was our wedding anniversary, we completed two years .. it went so fast, but it seems that we have been married for longer. My family is most special in my life and I am very grateful for the wonderful husband I have.

3- Daphne's stats from her 4 month doctor visit:
weight: 18.94 lbs (99.66%)
length: 27.25 in (99.71%)
She's so big.. and every day more beautiful and smart.
Now she's eating solid food, the first day was funny because she was eating like this was the best food in the world.. the second day she did not want to look, but now she began to eat again.

4- We went to Arizona again and it was really cool. We finally met Daniele and Matthew Jonhson, Lessia, Brian and Alex Smith and we had a great time at Dani's house.
We had fun with Brian (Andrew's brother).. and once again we ate "bigzilla" which is the largest burrito I ever saw, and of course Andrew and I had to split one because it was biiig.

5- September 11th was Andrew's birthday and was so good. We spent the day together and celebrated; and we went to the Utah Brazilian Festival and stayed there for a while.

Viagem em família!

Nós voltamos ontem de uma maravilhosa viagem em família.. fomos em vários lugares legais e nos divertimos bastante. A Daphne tomou banho de piscina pela primeira vez e amou.

Primeiro fomos em Yellowstone National Park, vimos elks, urso e paisagem lindas.. depois passamos por Grand Teton National Park. E também fomos em Jackson, WY e andamos pela cidade.. e antes de voltarmos para casa, fomos visitar os templos de Idaho Falls, ID e Logan, UT.

Family Trip!

We came back yesterday from a wonderful family trip.. we were in several cool places and had a great time. Daphne swam in a pool for the first time and loved it.

First we went in Yellowstone National Park, we saw elks, bear and beautiful sights.. then we pass by Grand Teton National Park. And we also went to Jackson, WY and walked around town.. and before we returned home, we went to visit the Idaho Falls, ID and Logan, UT Temples.

Novidades...

Nessas últimas semanas Daphne tem me surpreendido muito.. ela tem aprendido e feito tantas coisas novas. Ela dá gargalhadas, manda beijos, segura a mamadeira etc. Nem acredito que em 3 meses ela mudou tanto em comparação ao bebezinho que eu trouxe do hospital.

Fomos visitar os Staklands e foi tão engraçado ver a Daphne e Emma juntas.. nós rimos muito, até filmei um pouco. Emma é tão espertinha, fofa e engraçada.




News...

These last weeks Daphne has surprised me a lot.. she has learned and done so many new things. She laughs, blows kisses, holds the bottle etc. I can't believe that in three months she has changed so much compared to the little baby I brought home from the hospital.

We went to visit the Staklands and it was sooo funny to see Daphne and Emma together.. we laughed a lot, I even filmed a bit. Emma is so smart, cute and funny.

Conheçam nossa bonequinha..

Ela nasceu no dia 18 de abril às 2:06 a.m. em Provo, UT... medindo 52.07cm e pesando 3.612 kg. Nesses 3 meses que estamos convivendo com ela, aprendemos tantas coisas novas... ela tem mudado tanto e cada dia que passa fica mais sapeca e sorridente. Na consulta de 2 meses ela estava medindo 60.96cm e pesando 6.2 kg e ela estava no 92.85% por altura e 95.65% por peso em comparação a bebês da mesma idade. Ela tomou as primeiras vacinas e foi tão ruim ver ela chorando.. quase chorei junto. hahaha

Get to know our little doll...

She was born on 18 April 2008 at 2:06 a.m. in Provo, UT... measuring 20.5 inches and weighing 7 lbs 15.4. In these 3 months that we have been living with her, we learned so many new things... she has changed so much and each day that goes by she becomes more playful and happy. At the 2 month check-up she was measuring 24 inches and weighing 13 lbs 5 and she was in the 92.85th percentile for weight and 95.65th percentile for height. She took the first shots and it was so sad to see her crying.. I almost cried with her. hahaha
