Miles is 4 months old

He is such a sweet baby! He loves to "talk" and smile all the time. A few weeks ago we were in Daphne and Calvin's bedroom getting ready for bed and Calvin was playing with some toys and Miles started to watch him and he was laughing so much that made all of us laugh too.
A couple of weeks ago all the kids got sick, just coughing all the time and because of that Miles started to wake up a lot during the night. After a few day I noticed that he wasn't getting better, so I took him to the doctor and found out that he had a little bit of pneumonia in his left lung, then he started to take his medicine and got better.
Right now he is going through a growth spurt and wants to eat every 3 hours (day and night), and because of that I am exhausted.
He had his check up and he is doing good.

Thanksgiving

On Thanksgiving we had Rick, Mileide, Sophia and Liam over to celebrate with us. It was such a nice day and lots of yummy food!! I forgot to take pictures :(
Andrew smoked our turkey and turned out amazing.
The kids played, we talked and laughed. We couldn't ask for a better way to celebrate!!

Daphne lost her first tooth

Monday (November 23rd), after Daphne came back from school, she told me that her tooth was hurting, so I checked and noticed that it was really loose. I told her that it was about time to come out, and she was so excited!! After about a hour, Andrew asked her if she wanted him to pull her tooth out and she said yes, so they started the whole process. After a while she was complaining and in the last couple minutes she started to cry, so she sat on my lap and Andrew took her tooth out! It was kind funny, because she didn't notice it. Then I told her that her tooth was out and she stopped crying in the same second and got all excited to see it. Hehehe
Afterwards Andrew helped her call for the tooth fairy and she came and gave Daphne money. It was so cute to see her so excited!!

Someone "proposed" to Daphne

A couple of weeks ago, Daphne came home from school and that was our conversation..
Daphne: Mom, Colby asked me to marry him!
Me: WHAT?!
Daphne: Yes, we were playing during recess and she said "Daphne, when we grow up, can we get married?" and I said yes!

Hahaha, I thought it was so cute and funny.

Halloween

I know Halloween was more than a month ago, but I finally remembered to blog about it ;)
Friday (October 30th) Daphne had a Halloween party at school and a parade. She wanted to be Ariel (The Little Mermaid) for it. She went to school and later I went there with Calvin and Miles to see her in the parade.

 Then on Saturday (31st) morning we went to Trick or Treat on Main Street with the kids, but we didn't stay the whole time, both Miles and Calvin fell asleep and Daphne was getting tired. So, we got back home, they took a nap, then got ready to go Trick or Treating around our house. Brian and Chloe came to spend the afternoon with us.

Miles is 3 months old

Today my baby is 3 months old and every day more cute. He has a sweet smile that melts my heart. Today was the first time I heard him laughing. At night he is sleeping between 5-8 hours straight, then eats and goes back to sleep. Daphne and Calvin love him like crazy, they are always helping and making him smile. I couldn't ask for anything more.

Calvin's 2nd Birthday party.

Friday (23rd) we celebrated his birthday at home with family and some friends. It was a lot of fun and Calvin enjoyed it a lot. The weather was nice, so we were able to stay in the backyard. We did a Toopy and Binoo birthday, because he loves to watch it.

Calvin is 2!!

My baby boy is already 2!! Time sure flies..
He is so funny, always making silly faces and making us laugh. He is not patient at all, anything can make him angry, but usually he is back to being sweet really fast. He loves airplanes, cars, trains and balls.

In the morning we stayed home and he opened one present that Nana gave him. After Daphne came back from school, he opened the other presents and we went to Chuck E. Cheese, and he had so much fun.

Miles' blessing day

We had Miles' blessing on Sunday (18th) at our ward. It was such a special day and the blessing was so sweet. In the circle we had Andrew, Bob, Brian, Ruben, Stephen and one of Ruben's mission companions (Brent). After the Sacrament meeting, we came back home and enjoyed the rest of the day with family and friends.

2 months old

Today Miles is 2 months old! He is a happy little boy, loves to smile and is starting to "talk" more. He still wakes up a couple times during the night to eat and just like his big brother, he loves to be help to take naps.. this week he is starting to take little naps on the swing and I'm grateful for that hehe
He had his check up today and his measurements are:
Length: 23 in
Weight: 12 lbs 1 oz
Head Circumference: 16.5 in

1 month old

Miles is 1 month old now. He is such a sweet baby and very loved by his siblings!! He doesn't cry a lot, but when he does, Daphne and Calvin run in his direction to try to make him feel better. It is just to cute! The other day when I was in the kitchen finishing make breakfast for the kids and Miles was in the playmat, he started to cry and Calvin kneel down by him and said "why sad baby? I tickle you" haha I thought it was adorable. Daphne is my big helper, always taking care of both of her brothers, she is awesome!

Miles started to smile two days after he turned a month old, it is so cute, but he doesn't do that often.

I took him to the doctor to check his weight since he lost so much. He is 9lbs 5 oz and 21 3/4 in long.

Back to School Feast

Since Daphne is starting Kindergarten this week, we decided to do a "back to school feast" yesterday. We had a Hawaiian theme decoration and the kids loved it. First we had dinner, then we talked about school and read a book (You are special). After that Andrew gave her a blessing for the school year and it was really special.

First day of Kindergarten

Today (26) was Daphne's first day of school and she couldn't wait to go. She is in the afternoon class with Miss Eckhardt. She already knows 3 other friends from church that are in her class too.
Andrew didn't have a lot of work today, so he came early and we went together to school. We stayed there for a few minutes, then we left. I was so excited for her, but at the same time it was hard for me to believe that she is already starting Kindergarten.
When we went to pick her up, she was all excited telling me all about her first day. I sure do love my little princess and I'm excited for her new adventures.

2 weeks old check up

Monday (17th) I took Miles to his doctor appointment and his measurements are:
Length: 20 1/2 in
Weight: 7 lbs 13 oz

That means that he lost a lot weight since he was born (He was 9 lbs 4 oz). I almost cried in front of the doctor, because I knew something was wrong. I found out that I don't have enough milk to feed him and I have to start supplementing him with formula. The same thing happened with Calvin, but he never lost that much weight. It sucks to know that your body is not enough to provide for your baby, but I'm glad we are able to help him grow healthy and strong.

2 weeks old

Calvin is here - birth story (finally)

My handsome little boy is here!! We named him Calvin Leroy Hudson and he is so precious.
I had my last doctor appointment on Friday (18) and I was 4 cm dilated, I had contractions during the whole weekend, but they were on and off. We had schedule my induction to Monday, so we woke up early and left for the hospital at 5:30 a.m. Daphne stayed at home with Andrew's mom. We got at the hospital and had to finish all the paperwork and then I went to the labor floor and we met a really nice nurse and she took us to the labor room and we started the IV and she check me and I was 5 cm. I had to wait for about an hour until they started the pitocin. I was already having contractions, but I wasn't really felling pain, so I decided to wait to ask for the epidural. We waited for a wile, my contractions started to get stronger, my doctor went to check on me and I was 6 cm dilated and he asked me if I wanted him to break my water and I said yes, he said it was going to be uncomfortable and I could wait until I had have the epidural first, but I didn't want to wait. So we decided to do that and the anesthesiologist got in the room just a few minutes after that, the doctor then went and broke my water and it was a strange feeling all the water coming out hehe it was a little painful but not that bad. Then right after that we started the epidural, but it was kind strange because I really wasn't in pain yet, but I knew that after my water broke I didn't want to wait to long and then not be able to get the epidural.
Rita and Daphne got in the hospital right after I had the epidural and it was so nice to have then with us, we talked and Daphne was so excited to see her baby brother. They stayed with us for about an hour, then they decided to go somewhere to eat. When they left the nurse came to check me and I was 8 cm dilated and I was so excited to hear that. Then 15 minutes later she came back and I was 9 cm dilated, so we decided to call Rita so they would be there when baby was born. Before that I hadn't decided if Daphne would be there or not during delivery, but in that moment I wanted her there. Around 10 minutes later the doctor (Doctor Warner) came to check me and I was already 10 cm e totally effaced, I couldn't believe how fast everything happened after he broke my water. He told the nurse to prepare the room and everything, so when Rita and Daphne came back everything was almost ready.
Then the nurse got me ready and in the next contraction the doctor asked me to push and I did, after 2-3 contractions the baby's head wasn't coming to fast so he told the nursery nurse to go and they would let her know when the baby was coming. I asked the nurse for a mirror so i could see the baby being born. So, on every contraction I had to push and Daphne was the one counting until 10, it was great that they made her part of what was happening. I pushed for about 15-20 minutes and then he was there, I saw his little face for the first time, Andrew got to cut the umbilical cord, the baby cried and of course I started to cry too :)
He was 20 inches long and weighted 8 lbs 14 oz and he was just perfect. When I got to hold him, I noticed that he looks a lot like Daphne when she was a newborn.
The labor was a lot faster, less painful and in the end I had another little angel in my arms.
