The Hudson Family: Lately

So, it has been a while since my last post. Lots of things happened during this time.

Calvin turned 5 months old on the day we left for our trip to KY. We drove straight there and the trip was good, the kids did great. Over there we spent lots of time with family and got to go to some pretty places.

Daphne had an early birthday party with her cousin Megan and it was a lot of fun.

Then we decided to leave Kentucky a little earlier so we could go visit some places before we got home. First we went to St. Louis and saw the St. Louis Science Center, then we went to the Zoo and Daphne loved it. And right after we started driving some more we stopped at the St. Louis Temple to take a picture with the kids 5 and a half years after our wedding day.

We drove all the way to a hotel, spent the night there and the next morning we drove to Carthage, IL and saw the Carthage Jail and it was incredible to be there, we could feel the spirit really strong. It was a great opportunity to fortify our testimony of the gospel.

After that we went to Nauvoo, IL to see the Temple and places around it.

After we saw what we wanted to, we started driving to our friend's house in Lawrence, KS. We got there late at night, spent the night and on the next day we went to see the old part of the city and it was really cool.
